Come one, come all to the Merry TUBACHRISTMAS concert, a group of more than 175 area tuba, sousaphone, euphonium, and baritone players will present the 39th annual Dallas concert of holiday carols. All area tuba, sousaphone, euphonium, and baritone players are cordially invited to join the performance. There is a $10 registration fee for performers. This same book is used every year at all TUBACHRISTMAS events nationwide. Performers are encouraged to dress in weather-appropriate attire and bring a music stand. About TUBACHRISTMAS TUBACHRISTMAS was conceived in 1974 as a tribute to the late artist/teacher William J. Bell, born on Christmas Day, 1902.
The first TUBACHRISTMAS was conducted by the late Paul Lavalle in New York City's Rockefeller Plaza Ice Rink on Sunday, December 22, 1974.
