What I want to do is get the 181 pages of text in this pdf manual back into InDesign for editing. I tried editing the pdf, and weird unwanted things began to happen, such as the text I changed became both italic and bold, an the buttons to change it in or out of Italic and bold would not work. I tried exporting as.rtf, and had trouble placing the text.

The first page of text came in, but not did the place command not make pages to accomodate all that text, when I tried to manually place it I kept getting pages with no text on them, but then the red plus button indicating the text was in there somewhere. I could go on with other things I tried, but this would get too long. Anyone know the best approach for this??? There is no general best approach for this.
