I have a Inland 7 in 1 USB Card Reader (Model CR2009) that is not able to be recognized by Windows XP. (The kicker is that most of the time it doesn't work. However if the device get recognize, it get recognized as a USB Storage. Failure rate is higher than 90% percent of the time.
I also notice that if I unplug the USB CR safely when it was working, afterward, it doesn't work at all.) I have tried to associating USBStor.inf and USBStor.sys file under device manager, however the device manager doesn't pick it up. I have tried going to Inland website to look for the appropriate driver, however it does not provide any driver for that particular device. Any advice or suggestion would be much appreciated. Hi ProudNoob, Do you have any other USB device which works correctly on the machine? Was the card reader working fine earlier?
